Privacy Policy

RV Trip Planner is published by Soarbyte Yazilim ("we"). The app keeps your information on your device and sends only what a feature needs to work.

Stored on your device

Your onboarding answers, display name, vehicle details, saved trips, and saved places are written to storage on your device. There is no account, no sign-in, and no cloud sync.

Planning a trip

When you generate a plan, the places on your route and your trip settings (days, daily distance, vehicle dimensions, and preferences) are sent to our planning service, which runs on Google Cloud and measures the route with Google Maps. Your display name is not sent. The finished plan is saved only on your device.

Searching for places

What you type into a search box is sent to Photon, a public OpenStreetMap search service run by Komoot, to find matching places. Map tiles are downloaded from OpenFreeMap, and place markers are read from our map database on Google Cloud.

Subscriptions

Purchases are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to confirm your subscription; it receives your purchase history and a random identifier for this installation, never your name or payment details.

Location

The app does not request or use your device location.

Analytics and crash reporting

When enabled, analytics and crash reports carry only option identifiers, counts, and flags. They never include the places you type, your name, or any other text you enter.

Advertising measurement

To learn which of our ads bring people to the app, we use Meta's App Events SDK. It tells Meta when the app is installed and opened, when you finish the setup questions, and when you buy a subscription (the plan and its price). It never receives your trips, the places you search for, your name, or anything else you type.

The first time you open the app, iOS asks whether RV Trip Planner may track you. If you allow it, Meta also receives your device's advertising identifier, which lets it match the install to an ad you saw in its apps. If you decline, the identifier is not shared. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. Meta's handling of this data is described in Meta's Privacy Policy.

Children

The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Deleting your data

In the app, Settings > Delete app data erases everything stored on your device. Deleting the app has the same effect. Because there is no account, there is nothing else to delete.

We will update this page when the way the app handles data changes, and revise the date above.
